With previous workshops proving such a success, HM Revenue & Customs has announced a new program of free half day workshops across South and West Wales.

The workshops are aimed at employers, sole traders and those in partnerships, and will provide free help and advice on topics such as, becoming a company director, becoming newly self-employed, business expenses and how VAT works.

The half-day events will be running throughout November and are suitable for new business start-ups and existing small businesses. The full schedule of workshops and venues is as follows;

Cardiff

1 and 28 November – Becoming a director 3 and 29 November – Newly self employed – the basics 8 November – Becoming an employer 9 November – Statutory payments 10 November – VAT – trading with other countries 15 November – Business expenses and capital allowances 16 November – PAYE expenses and benefits 17 November – How VAT works 23 November – Self Assessment online 24 November – International Trade

Cardiff workshops take place at HMRC’s offices at Government Buildings, Ty Glas, Llanishen, Cardiff CF14 5YA.

Newport

9 November – Business Expenses and Capital Allowances

Bridgend

Port Talbot
